Codex Transportica

Part transport part art form, these majestic machines required years of tuition to successfully steer without falling over or crashing.

Propulsion is provided by the rider steering the Slave Trolley (via remote control). The trolley is skilfully positioned to push the giant wheel along until sufficient momentum is achieved. Breaking is also provided by the trolley by forcing it in front of the wheel and gradually applying pressure to the tyre.

Trolleys came with a variety of capabilities but it was always the expertise of the rider that allowed for a smooth journey rather than a high speed disaster.

Now confined to the desolate wastelands of the South where many of these vehicles now decay along with their fallen drivers.
